AMBER J.O. PETERSON DRUGSTORE BOTTLES - LOT OF SIX |
These amber drug store prescription bottles are from an estate related to early Minneapolis druggist J. O. Peterson. His store still stands in the historic seven corners district of Minneapolis, just up the hill from the Mississippi River and Bohemian Flats. These were found in a barrel, packed in sawdust. They have a unique, eye-pleasing form, a great amber color, and feature strong embossing on the shoulder only. They stand about 6 1/4 inches tall. Never used and attic mint. Six in a lot for 60.00. This amber decanter stands about 10 1/8 inches tall. It shows 26 ribs bending just slightly to right at the shoulder. Applied double collar mouth. Ribs radiate directly from center of pontil scarred base. A few scattered, minor, light use scratches. No cracks, but one small fish eye and a very small, shallow chip on the base. Amber Pattern Molded Gloular Swirl |
This amber globular swirl shows 24 ribs to the right. Rolled lip, pontil scarred base. About 8 1/4 inches tall. Lots of small bubbles also swirl to right and are mainly near the surface, but only one surface bubble shows a bit of broken skin. A little light, scattered wear. Ribs are widely spaced and give this one an interesting pattern of light-dark-light amber as the eye goes from rib to rib. Two views are shown. Shipping and insurance extra. WHITALL TATUM ACME WATER COOLER CAN AND JAR |
As seen in the 1897 Whitall Tatum Catalog. This unusual Japaned tin canister and jar stands 1/4 inches high and is 5 1/4 inches in diameter. The tin can is double walled, allowing for insulation of whatever contents might have been kept in the glass jar. The jar features a ground lip and is embossed with the Whitall Tatum logo and the words Acme Water Cooler. The tin can shows use but not abuse. The jar is near perfect.
